Khammam, Oct.20 : Social media fame turned into a nightmare for Gunti Nagaraju, a content creator from Raghunathapalem mandal in Khammam district, after unknown pranksters targeted him with a flood of fraudulent Cash-on-Delivery (COD) orders. Over the festive Dussehra period, delivery personnel began lining up outside his residence carrying numerous packages and food orders that he never requested, leaving him dealing with severe harassment and public confusion.
According to Nagaraju, a string of delivery agents arrived at his doorstep one after another carrying bulk food deliveries, including biryanis ordered through platforms like Zomato and Flipkart. Despite explaining to the delivery staff that he had nothing to do with the purchases, the sudden influx created a chaotic situation outside his home. He stated that he has been flooded with hundreds of persistent phone calls regarding the unauthorized transactions.
Expressing deep anguish over the incident, Nagaraju said that anonymous miscreants deliberately fabricated the fake orders to harass and humiliate him. Local internet users have condemned the prank, calling for strict action against individuals who misuse e-commerce platforms to harass content creators and private citizens.
