HANUMAKONDA, OCT.26 : The Hanumakonda District Congress Committee (DCC) held a high-level coordination and media meeting at the DCC building on Monday under the chairmanship of DCC President Enagala Venkatram Reddy. The gathering marked the rollout of the third phase of the nationwide ‘Vote Bachao – Desh Bachao’ campaign, which protests the alleged arbitrary removal of voter names and government attempts to undermine the electoral process.
AICC Observer KBR Naidu, who attended as the chief guest alongside TPCC Coordinator Arikela Narsa Reddy, strongly criticized the ruling central administration for manipulating electoral rolls for vested interests. Naidu asserted that the ongoing struggle led by AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi will continue until the electoral system is completely safeguarded. He expressed firm confidence that Rahul Gandhi will be the upcoming Prime Minister of the country.
Detailing the action plan for the third phase, local leaders announced that emergency meetings will be conducted with Block Congress Presidents and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) across all constituencies. Booth agents and volunteers will receive comprehensive training on the AICC digital platform, the ‘Vote Rakshak’ portal, to verify deleted or altered voter details at the grassroots level. Additionally, traditional village community meetings known as ‘Gram Chaupals’ will be organized in every village to educate citizens on democratic threats, with proceedings documented and shared across social media platforms.
The leaders also confirmed full local support and participation for the upcoming national mobilization events, including the major national rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on November 1, followed by the ‘Delhi Chalo’ program scheduled for November 25 and 26.
The meeting was attended by MLC Baswaraju Saraiah, MLAs K.R. Nagaraju and Revuri Prakash Reddy, TPCC Women’s Congress President Errabelli Swarna, KUDA Chairperson Gundu Sudharani, Meru Cooperative Chairman Sanga Venkatrajam, along with senior party leaders, district committee members, and affiliated wing presidents.
