Insect Found in Laddu Prasadam at Vemulawada Temple
Rajanna Sircilla, August, 31 : A distressing incident occurred at the famous Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple shrine in Rajanna Sircilla district, raising serious concerns over hygiene and food quality controls maintained at major religious sites.
The incident came to light when Santosh, a resident of Sircilla town, visited the temple along with his wife. After offering prayers at the Sri Bhimeshwara Swamy shrine within the temple complex, the couple purchased laddu prasadam from the official temple counter. However, upon opening the packet to consume the sacred offering, they were shocked to discover an insect embedded inside the laddu.
Deeply upset by the unhygienic condition of the prasadam, Santosh immediately brought the matter to the attention of the temple authorities and lodged a formal complaint. Devotees present at the shrine expressed strong dissatisfaction, demanding strict quality checks and hygiene protocols during the preparation and distribution of temple offerings to protect religious sentiments and public health.
