Congress Government working with public welfare as main goal-MLA Medipally Satyam
Karimnagar, Sept.3 : Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam stated that the Telangana government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is working with public welfare as its primary objective. He praised the Congress government’s administration as a true model of people-centric governance while criticizing opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders for failing to digest the state’s ongoing development.
The remarks were made during a celebration event held in Gangadhara to mark the completion of 1,000 days of welfare governance by the Congress government. On this occasion, MLA Satyam participated in a two-kilometer rally from the Gangadhara mandal headquarters to the Madhuranagar crossroads. Before addressing the gathering, he offered floral tributes to the statues of Babu Jagjivan Ram at the mandal center and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at the Madhuranagar junction.
Addressing the rally, the MLA highlighted key welfare initiatives delivered under the Congress regime. He stated that the government has successfully waived crop loans up to ₹2 lakh for 25 lakh farmers, sanctioned 6,500 Indiramma housing units per assembly constituency, provided 9 lakh ration cards, supplied free electricity to 53 lakh families, and distributed Cheyutha pensions to 43 lakh beneficiaries.
Taking a sharp dig at the opposition, MLA Satyam mocked the BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for remaining confined to his farmhouse for 1,000 days instead of fulfilling his role as the leader of the opposition in the State Assembly. He further asserted that political conspiracies would not stop the welfare programs, declaring that the Congress party would remain in power for years to come.
