TGEJAC staged dharna in Karimnagar demanding resolution of Employee Issues
Karimnagar, August 28 : Following a statewide call by the Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee (TGEJAC), a massive protest (Maha Dharna) was organized in front of the Collectorate office in Karimnagar on Thursday. Employees, teachers, workers, pensioners, gazetted officers, Anganwadi workers, and contract and outsourcing staff gathered in large numbers to back the union’s agitation action plan.
Speaking on the occasion, Karimnagar TGEJAC President Daram Srinivas Reddy demanded that the state government immediately resolve the long-pending grievances of government staff. Key demands highlighted during the protest included the implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC), release of six pending Dearness Allowances (DAs), scrapping of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) to restore the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), clearance of pending bills, effective implementation of health cards, timely employee transfers and promotions, amendment of GO 25, and implementation of GO 190.
Emphasizing the urgency of the situation, Srinivas Reddy urged the government to act promptly to deliver justice for teachers, pensioners, and contract workers alike. He warned that if the legitimate demands of the workforce are ignored, TGEJAC will further intensify its ongoing statewide movement. Representatives from various employee, teacher, worker, and pensioner associations took part in the demonstration to extend their full solidarity to the agitation.
