Warangal, Oct.23 : The lifelong dream of 96-year-old Duggidevara Samrajyam from Mallavaram village in Tallada mandal, Khammam district, was realized through the efforts of BRS Parliamentary Party leader and Rajya Sabha member Vaddiraju Ravichandra. A respected community figure who previously served twice as a village sarpanch, twice as an MPTC member, and as a cooperative single window director, Samrajyam nurtured a deep admiration for BRS chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for establishing Telangana and championing its progress. Harboring a profound desire to meet KCR in person, her wish was brought to the attention of MP Ravichandra by her elder son and BRS leader Venkatalal.
Responding warmly, Ravichandra arranged for Samrajyam, accompanied by her sons Venkatalal and Ajay Kumar alongside grandsons Yudhishtar and Sri Raghunandan, to meet BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao at Telangana Bhavan. KTR greeted the nonagenarian affectionately, honored her with a traditional shawl, and assured her that arrangements would soon be made to fulfill her aspiration of meeting KCR.
During the interaction, KTR also commended Samrajyam’s grandson, Sri Raghunandan, a BBA student in Bengaluru, for his early dedication to social service. Back in February 2016 at age nine, Raghunandan had adopted the government primary school in Mallavaram on KCR’s birthday, successfully improving infrastructure, greenery, and cleanliness. His community efforts earned him national and state-level Swachh Vidyalaya awards between 2017 and 2018, drawing appreciation from both KTR and MP Ravichandra.
