BHADRADRI KOTHAGUDEM, OCT.27 : State Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar visited injured TGSRTC conductor Pravalika at Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Kothapet on Tuesday evening to inquire about her health. The conductor is currently undergoing advanced medical treatment following a severe altercation on a moving bus in Bhadradri Kothagudem district last Sunday, where she suffered critical leg injuries after being allegedly pushed from the vehicle by a passenger.
The Minister interacted with attending doctors to assess her condition, noting that her health is currently stable. He assured the victim and her family that the state administration stands firmly behind all RTC employees. Highlighting that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s government is deeply committed to employee welfare, Minister Prabhakar emphasized that public transport personnel work tirelessly to safely transport citizens and deserve respectful, friendly treatment from passengers.
Addressing the broader implications of the assault, the Minister warned that the government views the incident with extreme seriousness and will enforce stringent legal action against those responsible to prevent any recurrence. He advised the public to approach official channels if they have grievances regarding staff conduct rather than taking matters into their own hands, stressing that endangering the lives of public servants will invite severe legal consequences.
